The 5th edition of the BERD Bridges Bulletin is now available, BERD’s newsletter dedicated to bridge projects, technical solutions and innovation.

This edition highlights the Putraique Bridge, BERD’s first modular bridge project in Chile, located in the Los Lagos Region. This MB36 structure, with a 28 metre span and a 4.20 m width, was installed to replace an old wooden bridge that no longer met the needs of the local community and forestry operations in the area. The new bridge provides safer and more efficient circulation, improving access and reducing detours, including for emergency vehicles.

The newsletter presents the project background, the main challenges faced, such as a tight construction schedule influenced by weather conditions and site constraints, the product features and assembly process, as well as relevant facts that highlight the robustness and quality of the solution developed by BERD.
